People told to avail Sukanya Samvridhi Yojana
E Veerabhadra Rao, Regional Director of Postal Services (Vijayawada), suggested to the people to avail the Sukanya Samvridhi Yojana scheme that was introduced by the Central government to safeguard the girls in the country with a slogan ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padao’.

He distributed pass books of the accounts opened under Sukanya Samvridhi Yojana scheme at Pennada Village in Palakoderu rural mandal on Saturday. Bhimavaram Divisional Senior Superintendent of Post Offices D Ramanaiah presided over the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, the director said the Rural Postal Insurance scheme was introduced for the benefit of the rural people with least premium with big benefits. He said that the Sub-Post office at Pennada village would be developed with Rural Information Rural Information Communication & Technology (RICT).
He explained on the schemes introduced in the postal department. Assistant superintendent of post offices R Anil Ambedkar, postal inspector D Srinivas were also present.
