130 chemical drums worth 17 lakh seized, 9 held
City crime branch police nabbed a 9-member gang and seized 130 chemical drums worth Rs 17 lakh belong to a private company in Ibrahimpatnam. ACP (Crime) Shireen Begum produced the gang before the media at the CCS office, I Town on Monday.Â
Vijayawada: City crime branch police nabbed a 9-member gang and seized 130 chemical drums worth Rs 17 lakh belong to a private company in Ibrahimpatnam. ACP (Crime) Shireen Begum produced the gang before the media at the CCS office, I Town on Monday.
The gang robbed 130 chemical plastic drums worth Rs 17 lakh from Nifty lab located in Ibrahimpatnam. The accused were identified as Kosireddy Kanaka Mahesh, Kandula Sudhakar Babu, Polisetty Chakravarti and Annam Eswara Rao of Kondapalli, B Sudhkar of G Konduru, Yaddanapudi Harikrishna of Gampalagudem, Podila Krishna, Kottapalli Venkata Krishna and Ulliboina Srinivasa Rao of Mylavaram.
Five of accused are workers of Nifty lab. The accused staff Kanaka Mahesh, Srinivasa Rao, Venkata Krishna, Podila Krishna and Hari Krishna hatched a plan to rob the chemical drums as the chemical has lot of demand in Hyderabad and Vizag. The management suspected some foul game and lodged a complaint with the Ibrahimpatnam police about the missing of 130 chemical drums worth Rs 17 lakh.
