The 25th State Conference of CPI(M) has re-elected Penuballi Madhu as State Committee Secretary at the just concluded session at Bhimavaram on Monday. The party leaders have elected Madhu again as the Secretary. It also elected 15 members as Secretariat members. 

Eluru: The 25th State Conference of CPI(M) has re-elected Penuballi Madhu as State Committee Secretary at the just concluded session at Bhimavaram on Monday. The party leaders have elected Madhu again as the Secretary. It also elected 15 members as Secretariat members.

Another 60 members are elected as State Committee members. The CPM senior leaders MA Gafoor, V Srinivasa Rao, Y Venkateswara Rao, V Krishnaiah, Ch Narasimha Rao, Midiam Baburao, MVS Sarma, Dadala Subba Rao, M Krishna Murthy, Ch Babu Rao, V Umamaheswra Rao, D Ramadevi, Mantena Sitaram and K Prabhakar Reddy are elected as Secretariat members of the party. The party state conference was held for three days in Bhimavaram.

Later speaking to media persons, CPM State new Secretary Penuballi Madhu said that the party’s state conference has decided to take up an agitation to achieve Special Status to Andhra Pradesh, and implementation of bifurcation assurances.

The CPM leader has said that the party’s new state committee was established with 60 members executive and 15 members secretariat. He said that in the agitations on State’s problems the party will join hands with other like-minded parties and people.

He said that the alliance would be decided at the time of elections only. State Secretariat member Y Venkateswara Rao has said that party’s National conferences would be held on April 18 to April 22 in Hyderabad.
