Kurnool: TDP district president and Kurnool Urban Development Authority (KUDA) Chairman Somisetty Venkateswarlu on Wednesday lashed out at YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president YS Jaganmohan Reddy for announcing his party MPs resignation in support of Special Category Status (SCS).

Launching a blistering attack on YSRCP chief at a press conference here on Wednesday, the KUDA chairman alleged that the YSRCP chief was enacting a new drama in the name of resignation of his MPs if the central government fails to accord SCS to Andhra Pradesh.

He said if YS Jagan has guts then he should order his MPs to resign immediately without delay. Somisetty has stated that Opposition leader might be day dreaming of becoming the Chief Minister, but his wishes will not become reality. He also challenged the YSRCP chief for a debate on the fraud of grabbing the lands belonging to the Dalits.

He alleged that Jaganmohan was misleading the people of the state by making false statements. The TDP leader blamed the YSR family for cheating the Dalits and forcibly occupying their lands.

Earlier, YS Rajasekhara Reddy has cheated the Dalits and now YS Jagan has been adopting same tactics, he slammed, saying farmers have voluntarily handed over their lands for the construction of the new capital at Amaravati. He made it clear that the party has never forced or threatened anyone to give up their lands.

Around 40,000 acres of land were acquired, and the land donors were now feeling proud and keeping their head high, the KUDA chairman said.
He said that none of the Dalits complained against the TDP that they were cheated during the three-and-a-half-year rule. State SC Corporation Director Akepogu Prabhakar and secretary Pothuraju Ravi Kumar were also present on the occasion.
