Viral video: Railway policeman thrashes youth for boarding train

Gooty: Police high-handedness has come to the fore yet again when a railway policeman on duty whipped his lati on a youngster at Gooty railway station on Wednesday. The video, which was filmed by a passenger, has gone viral on social media.

The victim Suresh was caught boarding a sleeper class compartment of Bengaluru-Kacheguda express train at the railway station. The next minute, the policeman on duty obstructed him from boarding the train and began thrashing him with lati. While another policeman neither reacted nor tried to stop the his colleague. Meanwhile, the railway higher-ups took the matter seriously. The onlookers and passengers were taken aback by the unruly behavior of the policeman.
