Chief Minister to inspect Polavaram project tomorrow
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will visit Polavaram project on February 19, according to District Collector K Bhaskar.
Eluru: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will visit Polavaram project on February 19, according to District Collector K Bhaskar.
The District Collector, along with Superintendent of Police M Ravi Prakash, visited Polavaram project site on Saturday to review the Chief Minister’s visiting places. The two officials inspected the spillway, diaphragm wall, cofferdam areas where the Chief Minister will inspect the works.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said the Chief Minister will reach Polavaram project site at 11am on Monday and inspect the spillway, diaphragm wall, coffer dam and other works at the project. Later, he will conduct a review meeting with officials at the project site office. Around 2 pm, Naidu will leave for Buttayagudem mandal to inspect Pogonda reservoir.
SP Ravi Prakash said in view of Chief Minister’s visit, heavy security arrangements are being made at the project site. The SP and Collector directed the officials and police personnel to be on high alert in view of the Chief Minister's tour to project area.
