Constable V Srinivasa Rao working at Venkatachalam Police Station was suspended by the District Superintendent of Police (SP) PHD Ramakrishna for the alleged corruption charges against him.
Nellore: Constable V Srinivasa Rao working at Venkatachalam Police Station was suspended by the District Superintendent of Police (SP) PHD Ramakrishna for the alleged corruption charges against him.
District SP took action against him after ascertaining the facts that he was demanding bribes from room owners at Kasumur Dargah, and collecting money from drivers of jackpot vehicles, and sand-laden trucks.
During the probe, it was found that suspended constable used to demand cash from the people, who came to police station for release of their vehicles after cases were booked by the RTO, etc. The SP issued the orders suspending the constable on Friday.
