Eluru: Minister for Labour Pitani Satyanarayana said the government is considering to extend free education to best performing students in government-sponsored science fairs.

Inaugurating the ‘Inspire-Million Minds augmenting national aspiration and knowledge’ (INSPIRE- MANAK) science fair at Ramachandra Engineering College at Vatluru on Saturday, the minister said comparing to other countries in the world, India is not moving as expected. However, 50 per cent of employees in America and other countries in software sector are Indian-origin people.

As there was no proper recognition, the intellectual migrations are taking place from country, he said and added biological, physical, chemical and space technology students are recognised by the other countries.He called upon teh students to be ready to face any eventualities and challenges in their lives.

MLC Ramu Surya Rao called upon students to draw inspiration from these exhibitions to become good scientists.Eluru MLA Badeti Kota Rama Rao (Bujji) said the students should utilise the opportunities to come up in their life.

CV Renuka said West Godavari district stood in second place in bagging Inspire awards at the state-level. Now, this science fair was being conducted for Eluru, Koyyalagudem divisions and Krishna district, and 276 innovation projects were being displayed in the science fair. Earlier, the minister released the logo after lighting the lamp.

The schoolchildren performed Kuchipudi and Punjabi dances. Ramachandra Engineering College correspondent Venugopal, Principal Dola Sanjay, S Eluru DSP K Eswara Rao and others participated. The science fair will continue till Monday.
