Minister for Forests Sidda Raghava Rao will lay a foundation stone for construction of Sub-Regional Science Centre at Rajamahendravaram at 11 am on Sunday. The Minister’s office informed here on Saturday that the total project would cost Rs 15.2 crore. Out of the total estimated amount, the Central government would bear Rs 6.55 crore. The State government would spend Rs 8.65 crore.

Amaravati: Minister for Forests Sidda Raghava Rao will lay a foundation stone for construction of Sub-Regional Science Centre at Rajamahendravaram at 11 am on Sunday. The Minister’s office informed here on Saturday that the total project would cost Rs 15.2 crore. Out of the total estimated amount, the Central government would bear Rs 6.55 crore. The State government would spend Rs 8.65 crore.

The project would come up on a five-acre land. The science centre will house science museums. Exhibits at the science centre reflect the basic principles of reflection, refraction, sound waves, vibrations, illusions, primary colours, work, energy & power etc. in a very interesting and interactive way.

A whole world of wonder and amazement awaits the visitors at the centre with a number of interactive hands-on exhibits. Science museums provide science literacy and can impact public understanding, attitudes and behavior towards science and technology.
