Kanigiri (Prakasam district): YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy assured minimum support price to farmers who met him on his 95th day of Praja Sankalpa Yatra.

Continuing his walk in Kanigiri Assembly constituency from Pedaalavalapadu outskirts on Thursday, Jaganmohan Reddy went through Ramapuram, Gudevari Palem cross roads and reached Hajispuram.

A group of physically handicapped people met Jagan at Ramapuram and briefed him that the present government denied pensions to some of them though they are eligible to receive it.

They also complained that they are not getting any employment options or support for livelihood through the government to lead a decent life. Jaganmohan Reddy promised to do the best for their welfare once the YSRCP forms the government.

Fishermen from Mopadu met the Opposition leader and explained that the ruling party leaders are supporting unauthorised people to catch fish in Mopadu reservoir, CS Puram and Pamur tanks and obstructing the natives to enter them. Jagan said that he will discuss the issue and try to do justice to them.

At Hajispuram, tobacco and red gram farmers met Jaganmohan Reddy and explained the YS Rajasekhara Reddy government used to provide best minimum support price but now the government is providing meager price though the expenditure is multiplied. The YSRCP chief assured the farmers that after forming the government, he will make efforts for getting better MSP.
