Suspecting fidelity of his estranged wife, a man killed her by slitting her throat. The gruesome incident took place at Telugu Peta here on Thursday afternoon.

According to Banaganapalle circle inspector P Srinivas, Linga Murthy and his wife Maheswari , residents of Telugu Peta, were married 12 years ago. While Linga Murthy is from Banaganapalle, Maheswari belonged to Alampur of Jogulamba district in Telangan state. They couple have three children.
However, following marital disputes and reportedly vexed with frequent quarrels with her husband, Mahewari was living separately in a rented house in the same locality with three children. Linga Murthy had been trying to win back his wife but Maheswari refused due to his harassment.
With this, Linga Murthy grew suspicious of her character and used to picked up quarrels with her. On Thursday, he went to the residence of Maheswari and during an argument, he killed her by slitting her throat in a fit of rage.
The entire incident took place in the presence of their three children. The neighbours who heard the screams of the children rushed to find Maheswari lying in a pool of blood and Linga Murthy standing by her side.
