Women bodies demand RGV’s arrest
Demanding the government arrest director Ram Gopal Varma, women organisations launched a 48-hour hunger strike here on Wednesday. The leaders of various women organisations alleged that Ram Gopal Varma insulted the feelings of women and also damaged their reputation by making indecent remarks.

Noted social activists Devi was present at the protest. Speaking on the occasion, Devi said that RGV’s comments against women and his views were coming under the purview of the IPC. However, the government has not taken any action against him, she lamented.
She demanded the government arrest RGV unconditionally as he was humiliating the women. Though the Telangana State government initiated action against RGV, the AP government was still dragging its feet, thus, helping him, she alleged.
