Govt striving to transform AP into industrial hub, says Naidu
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has said that his government\'s biggest thrust is on industrialisation of the state. During the past three years, he had applied his mind on resolving farm crisis and agriculture development; but is now poised to work for speedy industrialisation of the state.
Penukonda(Anantapur): Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has said that his government's biggest thrust is on industrialisation of the state. During the past three years, he had applied his mind on resolving farm crisis and agriculture development; but is now poised to work for speedy industrialisation of the state.
Addressing a press conference at the Kia project site here on Thursday, Naidu has said that he bent upon transforming the state into an industrial hub by developing three industrial corridors connecting Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Rayalaseema would be transformed into an Industrial and Automobile hub.
He said that AP stands on the top with regard to the ease of doing business. The All India Committee on Technical Education (AICTE) rated AP as the first state, Delhi second, Gujarat third and Karnataka fourth in the ease of doing business and employment generation in the country.
The state has express ways, Ports and Airports connectivity and a coast line of 950 km. He said that Telugu people all over the world have been contributing to economic and industrial development of various nations across the world. In Silicon Valley in USA, there are 8 lakh Indians who have enriched the information technology.
Replying to a question on the Centre's failure in setting up an Energy University and a Central University in Anantapur, the Chief Minister said that a bill would soon be introduced in Parliament for creating the Central University and the Energy University would also become a reality soon.
Anantapur has emerged as a non-conventional energy hub by producing 3000 megawatts of green power, he said. He said that 945 investors have come forward to invest 1.20 lakh crores worth projects in AP state and they generate 8 lakh jobs.
