Plans afoot for 24x7 water supply

District Collector and GMC Special Officer Kona Sasidhar said proposals have been prepared to implement 24X7 drinking water supply system in the city. Addressing a meeting here on Thursday on drinking water supply with the GMC officials, he said that the DPR was prepared at a cost Rs 214 crore.

Addressing a meeting here on Thursday on drinking water supply with the GMC officials, he said that the DPR was prepared at a cost Rs 214 crore.
Kona Sasidhar studied the DPR and gave necessary suggestions. He said drinking water supply centralised unit would be set up at Lakshmipuram. He instructed the officials to prepare the revised DPR taking suggestions and added that after preparation of final DPR, it will be sent to the government for approval.
