Anantapur: Women and Child Welfare Minister Paritala Sunitha has highlighted various programmes being implemented by the present regime in the state for women’s development. Addressing a workshop held at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) here on Saturday on the topic, “Education challenges and rights of women in society”, she said there were not many opportunities for the education of women earlier.

However, there was vast difference in women’s education soon after NTR became the Chief Minister. Terming women as bold, she said that they will achieve higher status and reputation provided they work sincerely.
She called for organising more of such programmes to sensitise women on their rights and for their security.
