Notices issued to MLA’s wife, his followers

Vijayawada: The officials of the revenue department issued notices to MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao’s wife Bonda Sujatha and his six other followers in the land scam. It may be noted that the MLA’s wife and six others purchased land at Singh Nagar on the city outskirts illegally from some persons which was originally belongs to freedom fighter Surya Narayana.

The CID booked a case against the MLA’s wife and his followers. In this backdrop, the officials of the revenue department have started inquiry on their role. The MLA’s close followers Ganduri Mahesh and Maganti Babu were also given notices to inquire into their role in the incident. Meanwhile, Ganduri Mahesh was inquired by the officials here on Monday. The others would be inquired in a few days, officials said.
