The officials of the revenue department continued the inquiry on the second day on Tuesday over land scam and the alleged involvement of MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao’s wife and his six followers in it.
Vijayawada: The officials of the revenue department continued the inquiry on the second day on Tuesday over land scam and the alleged involvement of MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao’s wife and his six followers in it.
The officials spoke to the family members of freedom fighter Suryanarayana in this regard, who is the original owner of the land. Actually, the case has taken a new turn after one Appala Narasamma, who is a close relative of the freedom fighter family, claimed that the land originally belongs to her.
She has also given statement that Suresh who is the descendant of Suryanarayana harassed her for transferring the rights from her. The followers of the MLA were facing allegations that the land was registered in their names illegally from unrelated persons. However, an advocate attended the inquiry and explained details on behalf MLA’s wife two days ago.
