Protest in support of civic chief
The staff of Pedana Municipality in Krishna district staged a protest on Tuesday against the councilors of Telugu Desam who abused the Municipal Commissioner for opposing the building layout of MLA Kagita Venkata Rao.
Vijayawada: The staff of Pedana Municipality in Krishna district staged a protest on Tuesday against the councilors of Telugu Desam who abused the Municipal Commissioner for opposing the building layout of MLA Kagita Venkata Rao.
According to reports, Pedana Municipal Commissioner M Nageshwara Rao raised objections for giving permission to the construction of a building in the unauthorised layout.
MLA Kagita Venkata Rao laid the foundation stone to construct the building but the Commissioner and his staff raised objections. Later, the councillors entered the municipal office and abused the Municipal Commissioner.
Tension prevailed for some time following argument between the councilors and the staff. Later, the staff staged protest questioning the misbehaviour of councillors.
