The 47th National Safety Week celebrations in Sri City were inaugurated by the President (Operations) Satish Kamat in a function organised on Monday. After addressing the employees, he administered a safety pledge. 

Tirupati: The 47th National Safety Week celebrations in Sri City were inaugurated by the President (Operations) Satish Kamat in a function organised on Monday. After addressing the employees, he administered a safety pledge.

Underscoring the importance of safety in work place, Sri City MD Ravindra Sannareddy in a message stated, National Safety Week was observed to create safety awareness and promote safety culture among the people in the society for preventing untoward incidents.

As most accidents are take place due to negligence, utmost importance should be given to safety at all levels. General Manager, Security and Vigilance, Altaf informed that as part of the safety week celebrations, quiz, essay writing and drawing competitions will be held for employees and students throughout the week. On March 3, a concluding function will be held. Assistant Manager EHS (Safety) K Narendra Babu coordinated the event.
