Santanutalapadu: The Praja Sankalpa Yatra of YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday completed 100 days at Chimakurthy, Santanutalapadu mandal in Prakasam district.
In the public meeting held at Chimakurthy, Jaganmohan Reddy came down heavily on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s claims of investments in the Partnership Summit and employment opportunities to the state.
He said the state didn’t receive more than Rs 20,000 crore investments in the last 4 years, but Chandrababu Naidu claiming that the state had received lakhs of crores as investments providing employment to lakhs of youth.
Reacting to Chief Minister’s comments on development and Special Category Status(SCS), the YSRCP leader said Chandrababu Naidu do not know the difference between the progress and regress.
He explained that if the women, farmers and youth feel that their tomorrow is better than today, it is called development. But in the 4 years rule of TDP, Jagan said the DWCRA women and farmers were receiving notices from banks and the youth are migrating to other states for employment.
Reiterating that the SCS helps industrialists come to the state to set up industries and the local youth would get plenty of employment opportunities, Jagan alleged that Naidu spoiled the financial position of Ongole Dairy to make the profits for Heritage Dairy.
He suggested Naidu to consult a mental doctor for changing his stand frequently on Special Category Status. Stating the people are not happy with the rule of Naidu, Jagan said that he had received a plenty of requests and complaints from workers and polishing unit owners in Chimakurthy that they are forced to close their units with the government increasing royalty from Rs 1,400 to Rs 4,000 per tonne of stone and power charges from Rs 3.75 to Rs 7.35 per unit.
He promised the granite workers and owners that he would give 40 per cent subsidy to polishing units and reduce power charges to Rs 3.75. He also assured the granite workers that he would set up ESI hospital in the district and provide minimum saleable price to jamail farmers.
He said the TDP president ran away from Hyderabad fearing ‘note for vote’ case and making the state suffer with a loan burden of Rs 1.20 lakh crore in addition to the financial deficit.
He asked the public to throw the parties that are cheating them into Bay of Bengal and asked those politicians who cannot fulfil poll promises to go home tendering resignation to their elected posts.
Jaganmohan Reddy announced one-day break to the yatra on March 1 to take part in protests of YSRCP leaders at the district collectorates on Thursday. He will resume his padayatra on March 2 from Chimakurthy.
