Hyderabad: While Kurnool recorded the day’s highest temperature of 38 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, one degree less than the previous day, Nandigama, Jangamaheswarapuram, Anantapur, Kadapa and Nandyal had a high of 37 degrees Celsius each, according to the Met department bulletin.

The other day temperatures in the State were: Ongole, Tuni & Visakhapatnam Airport 36 degrees C each, Machilipatnam, Nellore, Vijayawada, Arogyavaram & Tirupati 35 each, Bapatla, Kakinada, Kavali & Narsapur 34 each, Kalingapatnam 33 and Visakhapatnam 32.

The bulletin said there was an appreciable rise in night temperatures ranging from 2.1 to 4 degrees Celsius at one or two places in both coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. They were markedly below normal by 5 degrees Celsius or less at one or two places in the coastal districts. The lowest minimum temperature of 14 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jangamaheswarapuram.

According to the bulletin, the other night temperatures in the State were: Arogyavaram 15, Anantapur 16, Kadapa 17, Nandyal, Tirupati & Kalingapatnam 18 each, Bapatla & Visakhapatnam Airport 19 each, Kavali, Tuni & Vijayawada 20 each, Kakinada, Machilipatnam, Nandigama, Narsapur & Kurnool 21 each, Nellore & Ongole 22 each and Visakhapatnam 23.
