Nurse ends life by injecting poison
A staff nurse committed suicide after injecting poison into her body at her room in the city on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as T Mamatha (26).
Nellore: A staff nurse committed suicide after injecting poison into her body at her room in the city on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as T Mamatha (26).
According to police, Mamatha, who hails from Chethanavaripalem in Guntur district, used to work as staff nurse in GGH, Nellore, on contract basis. She has been residing at a room along with two friends near Current Office Centre. She had allegedly taken an injection in her room last night which contained some poison.
The incident came to light when her roommates observed unconscious condition of Mamatha. She was immediately shifted to the government hospital where doctors declared brought dead. Sub-Inspector Ch Kondaiah said a case was registered and the investigation is on.
Resident Medical Officer Vara Prasad, GGH Superintendent Radha Krishna and others visited the dead body of Mamatha. Mother of Mamatha reached to Nellore to collect the dead body.
