Prisoner hurt in escape bid

An undertrial prisoner Boya Raju tried to escape from Pathikonda sub-jail. In an attempt, he jumped the compound wall. But, Raju suffered injuries and he was immediately rushed to Government General Hospital in Kurnool where he was treated for the bruises.

According to the sources, Boya Raju is a resident of Guntakal in Anantapur district and is an accused in a woman missing case that took place at Maddikerra village in Pathikonda constituency of Kurnool district in 2015.
