Peace Club inaugurated
Rector of Andhra University Prof K Gayatri Devi said that the ultimate aim of science is development of country, development would lead to peace in society.
Visakhapatnam: Rector of Andhra University Prof K Gayatri Devi said that the ultimate aim of science is development of country, development would lead to peace in society.
Speaking at a programme on ‘Awareness among the youth on ‘Science communication’ organised by the India Youth for Society on Wednesday, Gayatri Devi said that science should be used for constructive purposes and ultimately for peace.
On the occasion, she inaugurated the Andhra University Peace Club. Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Prof DVR Murthy said that youth activism should be propagated to achieve peace in the world.
He said that the purpose of science is not only for exploration, but also for development and progress. The Peace Club should be encouraged in all areas involving students and youth.
