Ravela makes sensational comments against party leaders

Former Minister Ravela Kishore Babu on Wednesday made several sensational comments that brought to the fore the internal bickerings in the ruling Telugu Desam Party. He alleged that illegal and indiscriminate mining was happening in his constituency.

He said sand worth Rs 100 crore was mined from his constituency so far. TDP leader Anil and his team, who have the backing of minister Prattipati Pulla Rao, are involved in illegal mining, he said and also blamed Anil, son of chilli market yard chairperson Mannava Subba Rao, for sand quarrying. He sais several cases were registered against Anil.

He objected to the interference of the leaders from other areas in his constituency. He also blamed the local officials and the police of pandering to the minister and the market yard chairperson. He said the TDP Government was earning a bad name because of the actions of such people.
