Attack on tahsildar condemned

Srikakulam: Revenue employees observed lunch hour demonstration in front of the Collectorate here on Thursday condemning the attack on Hiramandal tahsildar M Kaliprasad by Vamsadhara project displaced. They wore black badges and protested during lunch hour.

They demanded stringent action against the accused and sought protection from anti-social elements in dealing issues relating to land acquisition and R&R payments for projects taken up by the government.

Speaking on the occasion, additional joint collector Rajanikantha Rao termed the attack as uncivilised act and displaced should know facts on payment of compensation to all affected families.
