Amaravati: Welfare and development schemes implemented by the TDP government are likely to be highlighted in the Governor’s address to the Joint House of AP Legislature in the ensuing Assembly Budget Session commence from March 5 in Velagapudi.

In a pre-budget meeting conducted with the officials at Secretariat on Thursday, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu discussed about the issues to be included in the Governor’s address and others.

In fact, this is going to be the full final budget of Chandrababu Naidu’s government, hence Naidu has been planning to ring the election bell in the Budget Session itself.

On the other hand, the Opposition YSRCP had already boycotted the Assembly Sessions demanding action against the defected MLAs from YSRCP to TDP.

As the terms are not good between the coalition of TDP and BJP, the State government did not get special allocations as expected in the Union Budget presented last month by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

But the TDP hoped that they could get special financial assistance in the name of special package. Meanwhile, Naidu is going to discuss the same issues with party leaders on Friday in the TDP Parliamentary meeting at his residence at Undavalli in Guntur.

As both commencement of AP Assembly Budget Session and resuming of ongoing Parliament Budget Session are coincidental on March 5, the Chandrababu Naidu government has been looking for the announcement from Central government on that day.

The TDP already started mounting pressure on the BJP in Parliament and outside the House. The TDP leaders are expecting positive signal from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The TDP MPs are lobbying with the Union Ministers in this regard in New Delhi.
