Anantapur recorded the day’s highest temperature of 39 degrees Celsius on Friday, two degrees more than that of the previous day. While Nandigama, Jangamaheswarapuram,  Kurnool  and Nandyal had a high of 38 degrees Celsius each, while Tuni, Vijayawada,  Visakhapatnam Airport, Kadapa and Tirupati recorded 37 degrees Celsius each, the Met department bulletin said.

The other day temperatures in the state were: Machilipatnam & Nellore 36 each, Bapatla, Kakinada, Kavali & Arogyavaram 35 each, Kalingapatnam, Narsapur & Ongole 34 each, Visakhapatnam 32. According to the bulletin, the lowest minimum temperature of 17 degrees Celsius was recorded in Arogyavaram and Anantapur.

While there was no large change in the night temperatures at most places in Andhra Pradesh, there was an appreciable rise ranging from 2.10 to 4 degrees C at one or two places in the coastal districts.

The other night temperatures in the state were: Jangamaheswarapuram & Tirupati 18 each, Kadapa & Nandyal 19 each, Bapatla, Kalingapatnam, Vijayawada & Visakhapatnam Airport 20 each, Kurnool, Kavali, Nandigama & Tuni 21 each, Machilipatnam & Narsapur 22 each.
