The Guntur rural district police have made elaborate security arrangements for Assembly Budget Sessions beginning from March 5. Stating that Section of 30 of Police Act and Section 144 of IPC imposed within the 10 kilometres radius of State Assembly Buildings, the SP said conducting meetings, protests, dharnas and rallies near the Assembly were banned and warned that if anybody violates the orders, they will book cases and take stern action against them.
Appala Naidu said, as many as 900 police officials, four platoons of APSP force were deployed at Assembly for security. “Vigilance is stepped up at Assembly surrounding areas and bomb disposable squad thoroughly checked the area. Quick Response Force have been deployed at Assembly to prevent untoward incidents during the session.
Similarly, body worn cameras were already given to the cops,” the SP added. Separate routes were arranged for the Chief Minister, Assembly Speaker, Ministers and MLAs to avoid traffic problems, the SP said and added media persons will be allowed through fourth gate into the Assembly.
