Tirupati: Creative minds stole the hearts of the visitors at the ongoing ‘Science Innovation Festival 2018’ at Regional Science Centre(RSC) here on Friday. The RSC is organising its second edition of the three-day innovation festival to encourage talent irrespective of qualifications and age. RSC here has been organising innovation festival for budding innovators to solve complex problems with slight modification with out of the box thinking.

The aim of the innovation festival is to bring out the new ideas for the benefit of the society. On second day of the festival, several innovative exhibits drew the attention of hundreds of visitors. The temple city students and other youngsters were attracted by the exhibits like 3D printing technology and drone cameras usage for multitasking, agriculture motor pumpset switch on/off automatically and paper crafting have amused the visitors.

Apart from exhibition, the RSC is organising many workshops related to drone & 3D printer, ceramics, pottery and kalamkari to educate students about the new innovative technologies. An innovator B Rajesh, who is showcasing his talent through paper craft art told The Hans India that he learnt paper craft skills accidentally when he went to buy a handmade plastic carry bag.

“I started learning paper craft as a hobby and now turned into a profession,” he stated. Rajesh mentioned that all paper craft items were made using waste newspapers only. Another innovator Pavan from Palamaner of Chittoor district camp up with an innovation of mobile based switch on/off on agricultural motor pumpset functioning technology.

He explained that farmers have no need to go to agriculture fields in night times as they can operate the pumpset through an app by downloading into smart mobile phone. Nearly 28 innovative ideas are exhibited in the festival and innovators of all ages from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are participating.
