Bangi Ananthaiah on Tuesday expressed his demand seeking Special Category Status (SCS) to AP in a unique manner.

Masked with the photo of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, he rode a donkey in front of the Collectorate and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to accord the state with SCS.

Later, speaking to media, Bangi has said that the people of Andhra Pradesh apart from political parties have come on roads demanding special status to AP. He made an appeal to the Prime Minister to pay attention to the demands of the state people and sanction the SCS. He said that bifurcation was not done in a proper way and Andhra Pradesh was left with a revenue deficit of Rs 16,000 crore.

Despite of huge revenue deficit, Chandrababu Naidu has taken daring steps to lead newly formed Andhra Pradesh, he stated. He further said after bifurcation, Naidu has started his governance from a bus as there was no office at that time. Chandrababu has made the impossible to possible and no other Chief Minister can do like Naidu.

Despite revenue deficit, Naidu has implemented several welfare schemes to the downtrodden people and they are implemented to this day without any breach. Naidu is the only Chief Minister, who holds the position for a long time, he recalled. Ananthaiah has requested Narendra Modi to fulfil the bifurcation promises. Even, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is also supporting the just demand of Andhra Pradesh, he stated.
