Kadapa: Cases were registered against two persons on the charges of deceiving 40 unemployed youth by promising jobs in foreign countries. The accused were identified as Sk Salim Baba and Sk Prakruddin of Garugu street in Vempalle mandal.

According to the sources, the duo posing themselves as recruiting agents for multinational companies in foreign countries had collected Rs 40 lakh from the victims six months ago by assuring jobs in Malaysia. The accused had sent them to Malaysia on visiting visa.

The issue came to light when the Malaysian government sent back the victims to India after the expiry of their visa term. The victims shared their harrowing experience while working for companies in Malaysia during the visa period.

The company owners said that they are not aware of agents nor have any agreement with fake agents. A victim, Sk Gafar of Vempalle town said that he had paid Rs 1 lakh to the agents on the condition of providing job in Malaysia.

He went to Malaysia on a visiting visa and he was shocked to know that the agents have no dealing with any company in that country. He strived hard to secure the job, but his efforts went in vain. After his visa period had expired, the Malaysian cops asked him to leave the country immediately to avoid facing legal problems.

Gafar said that there are several people from Andhra Pradesh, who were jailed for not leaving the country even after expiry of visa period. It is learnt that the accused had managed to flee from the village after cases were registered against them. The Vempalle cops launched a hunt to nab the accused.
