Vijayawada: Two days after the power disruption and drinking water problem on the campus, the management of Nuzvid IIIT resolved the issue temporarily on Sunday morning.

The officials have restored the power supply and drinking water facility by setting up a generator in the campus. The students faced drinking water problem for the last two days due to power disruption in the campus as the existing transformer was damaged in fire accident.

However, HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao reacted very seriously on the incident and inspected the Nuzvid IIIT campus on Sunday. He also interacted with the students and had lunch along with them.

He instructed the officials to take steps to avoid frequent controversies in the campus and said the government would not tolerate them if anybody neglects their duties.

He also expressed displeasure over the attitude of college management and said the management should have made alternative arrangements without giving trouble to students.

Responding to the problems in the campus, the minister said all the problems would be solved in next two days permanently. Former ZP chairman P Nagabhushanam and other officials were present.
