ONGC Officers Mahila Samiti (OOMS), in association with Lakshya SPS, a non-governmental organisation, has conducted a mega multi-speciality medical camp in Godavari Base complex here on Saturday. 

Rajamahendravaram: ONGC Officers Mahila Samiti (OOMS), in association with Lakshya SPS, a non-governmental organisation, has conducted a mega multi-speciality medical camp in Godavari Base complex here on Saturday.

The camp was organised for the benefit of ONGC contract workers, security personnel and their family members, besides ONGC employees.

In the camp, tests were conducted relating to Cardiology, Dental, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Bone density,BP, Sugar etc and free medicines were distributed. Inaugurating the medical camp ONGC Rajamahendravaram Asset Executive Director DMR Sekhar has said that empowering women through health is as significant as economic empowerment. A healthy woman is an index of a healthy family and underlined the need to main sound health.

Mahatma Jyothirao Pule and Savitri Bai Pule, many years ago, strove for the Well-being of women, he said. OOMS president Durga Bhavani has said women generally do not care for their health in the larger interest oftheir families. Officials and employees of ONGC
