Srikakulam: Differently-abled girls can be trained by identifying their talent, opined district medical and health officer Dr Sanapala Tirupathi Rao. Speaking at a skill development programme here on Sunday organised for differently-abled girls by Bala Suraksha, a renowned NGO in south India, he suggested to the authorities concerned not to avoid these girls and train them in different areas and they will create wonders.

Deputy medical and health officer Dr Menda Praveen, district immunisation officer Dr Bagadi Jagannadham explained about the government’s ‘Palakarimpu’ programme to rectify birth related disorders among neo-natal babies.

Bala Suraksha founded by G Rajkishore conducting skill training programmes for differently-abled girls with the support of Sumitra Education Society, Prajwalini Welfare Society and Care and Love Foundation for the past 10 years. The girls are being provided education, audiology, speech therapy and innovative programmes.
