Kurnool: The Junior Doctors on Monday staged a unique protest in front of Collectorate demanding the government to pay pending arrears along with salaries.

If the government did not pay heed to their demand, then they will stop attending emergencies, they warned. Prior to the protest, the Junior Doctors took out a massive rally from Kurnool General Hospital to Collector Complex and staged agitation.

Later speaking to media one of the Junior Doctor G Sanjeev Kumar has said, `` despite rendering selfless services to the patients, we are not being paid. Arrears are pending since several months and the salary is also nominal.’’

They demanded the government to hike the salary and also urged the government to provide registration certificates after completion of MBBS and PG courses. In the absence of registration certificates, they are facing lot of problems to get jobs elsewhere, he said.

Another Junior Doctor Hemamsha has said that they are not asking anything else apart from their just demands. Citing cancellation of Senior Resident ship in Telangana, he urged the AP government to follow the same and appoint doctors on regular basis.

She demanded the government to immediately release the pending arrears pertaining to 2016-17. She also urged the government to change the stipend from unplanned budget to planned budget. Junior Doctors Association president Narendra Kumar, Hareesh, Bhargav, Dheeraj Kumar, Hari Krishna and women doctors were present.
