- Minister Kollu Ravindra says scheme was delayed as the govt was studying previous experiences elsewhere since it has failed in many countries
- The scheme will be implemented with the cooperation of Skill Development Corporation
Answering to the members during the question hour in Assembly on Thursday, Ravindra said that a panel of ministers was on the job of framing guidelines for the implementation of the scheme in order to make it fool-proof as it had failed in various countries.
He attributed the delay in launching the scheme to study of the previous experiences. Stating that unemployment dole would be implemented with the cooperation of Skill Development Corporation, he said that already it has designed the schemes to provide training along with employment guarantee.
Several prominent national and internationally reputed companies were coming forward to start their establishments in Andhra Pradesh,
he said. The minister said Kia Motors company was providing employment to a huge number of unemployed youth.
The government has plans to provide training for nearly 65,000 youth this year, he added. BJP Floor leader P Vishnukumar Raju asked the government when it would give allowance to unemployed youth.
He criticised the government for not implementing the scheme despite announcing it before the last year’s budget. Expressing satisfaction on the fund allocation in the budget for the scheme, the BJP member asked the government to implement the scheme as early as possible.
He also said that sometimes implementation of schemes gets delayed though those are included in party manifesto due to so many reasons like the Centre’s assurances to the state. But the governments should deliver benefits ultimately even there was some delay, he said.
