Lokesh tells students to strive to achieve goals
Information and Technology Minister Nara Lokesh said all the students should have sense of direction and sense of purpose in their life to achieve their goals.
Vijayawada: Information and Technology Minister Nara Lokesh said all the students should have sense of direction and sense of purpose in their life to achieve their goals.
The Minister was the chief guest at the annual day function of the Vellore Institute of Technology- Andhra Pradesh, held on the college premises on Wednesday. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he pointed out, “Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu always tells students to dare to dream and strive to achieve.”
Lokesh said the construction of Andhra Pradesh 2.0 had started. He recalled that Chandrababu Naidu had faced a lot of criticism when he started construction of IT park construction (Cyber Towers) in Hyderabad.
Lokesh said the Chief Minister has a clear vision on construction of a world-class capital Amaravati. The IT Minister lauded the management of VIT University for launching their operations in Amaravati within a short span of time and imparting top quality education to students.
He said the Chief Minister invited VIT to set up their university in Amaravati as he wanted education of international standards to be imparted to students in the new capital.
He said that VIT was the first private university to complete its first academic year in Amaravati and organise Annual Day function.
Lokesh said after the State bifurcation, Chandrababu Naidu had taken up AP 2.0 with a vision to build a world class capital and giving top priority to development. He added that until Naidu realised his goal, he would not relax. The IT Minister said the government was encouraging startup companies in all aspects to create jobs for the youth. He said to monitor the ongoing development works of various departments ‘WhatsApp’ reviews are being held.
VIT Chancellor Dr G Vishwanathan said he was closely attached with AP and that was the reason for the AP CM to invite them to establish their University in Amaravati. Immediately, the VIT has decided to establish the University and the State govt extended the required support.
He expressed the hope AP would become the No.1 State in the country soon with regard to development. Awards were presented to the faculty and staff for their support to the organisation on the occasion.
