Prevent labour migration, Zilla Parishad chief tells officials

Chittoor: Zilla Parishad (ZP) Chairperson Girvani Chandra Prakash directed the MPDOs and ZPTCs to prevent migration of labour from the district to neighbouring states.

Interacting with MPDOs and ZPTCs through teleconference on Wednesday, the ZP chief lamented that thousands of labourers from the district especially from Kuppam segment are migrating as they are unware of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS). She stated a labour would be provided with 100 days of work under the NREGS.
