Kurnool: SSC public exams got off to a smooth start in the district on Thursday. On the first day, 50,442 students have appeared for the exam, said District Educational Officer (DEO) S Tahera Sultana. The DEO stated that no mass copying incidents were reported.

The district administration took all measures for the smooth conduct of the exams which would continue till March 29. Students have appeared for the exam in 226 centres in which 10 are sensitive. The question papers were distributed through 22 routes.

Accompanied by DEO and RDO Hussain Saheb, District Collector S Satyanarayana has inspected the exam centre at St Joseph High School near children's park in Kurnool.

The Collector instructed the officials to ensure proper furniture, drinking water and uninterrupted power supply at the exam centres. He also advised the officials to be cautious and try not to give scope for any mistakes.
