Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said that he would join hands with any party if it would be useful to the public at large. He visited the CPI State office and also met the protesting journalists.

On his visit to the CPI office here, Pawan was extended a warm welcome by CPI State secretary K Ramakrishna and CPM State secretary P Madhu along with other senior leaders of the Left parties. Addressing the newsmen on this occasion, he said that he belongs to people.

Recalling the comments of Opposition leader YS Jagan that he belonged to the TDP, he said that now the leaders of the TDP were calling him Jagan’s man. He said that he would like to take up an agitation for the implementation of assurances made in AP Reorganisation Act 2014 and also the Special Category Status (SCS). But he was waiting for some time in view of exams of the students, he said.

The Jana Sena has plans to fight for the SCS, he said and added that they would sacrifice their lives for State interests. He flayed the TDP government for changing its stand frequently on important issues.

Pawan said that he was fond of the Left parties since his childhood and his father was also a sympathiser of the Left. “The Left parties are fighting for protection of people’s rights without any selfish motives,” he said and lauded the efforts of the Left activists.

The Jana Sena chief also extended his support to the journalists on their demand for houses. The leaders of the Left parties welcomed the decision of the TDP to exit from the NDA.
