Tirupati: The third day of Navahnika Brahmotsavams in the temple of Sri Kodanda Rama in Tirupati witnessed Lord taking ride on Simha Vahanam.

Seated majestically on the mighty vahanam, the Lord took celestial ride along the four mada streets and blessed the devotees. It had been said in mythology that Simham (lion) is a symbol of leadership and courage.

Rama by riding on Simha Vahanam conveys the message that he and his vahanam will act in a same manner in punishing the bad evils. After Vahana Seva, Snapana Tirumanjanam was held with milk, curds, honey and sandal paste on Kodanda Rama Swamy and Sita andLakshmana.

Cultural troupes from across the Telugu states performed in colourful cultural programmes during the Vahana seva. Dy EO Jhansi, EE Jagadeeswara Reddy and others were present.
