Amaravati: The Telugu Desam Party and YSRCP are preparing to move no-confidence motions against the NDA government again in the Lok Sabha on Monday. The TDP and YSRCP have given notices in the office of the secretary general Lok Sabha, requesting inclusion of their no-confidence motions in the list of business of the House for Monday.

Speaking to The Hans India, TDP MP Konakalla Narayana said the party has served a whip on all its MPs directing them to attend Parliament session in the wake the party’s decision to move a no-confidence motion.

“We are expecting the House to take up the no-confidence motion. Several anti-BJP parties such as Trinamool Congress and Biju Janata Dal are supporting us. I think our no-confidence motion will be taken up if parties like AIADMK do not come into well to protest on their state’s issues,” he said.

He felt that Speaker Sumitra Mahajan should not have adjourned the proceedings on Friday saying there was no order in the Hose. “We will continue our efforts on Monday for speaker to take up our no-confidence motion.

We are determined to continue our fight for achieving Special Category Status for AP,” he said, adding the party would decide on the next course of action if the speaker adjourns the House sine die. On the other hand, the YSRC is also lobbying with opposition parties for support for its no-trust notice.

YSRC MP Y V Subba Reddy told The Hans India that they spoke to Congress, Samajwadi party, Trinamool Congress, CPM and other parties. “We will do our part to garner support for no-confidence motion,” he said.

The YSRCP leader said that they have the support of 100 MPs in the Lok Sabha. “We are not enacting any drama like Telugu Desam president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

He does not have commitment to SCS and was just following the YSRC. He changed his stand over the issue several times in the last few days. People are watching him and would be able to see through his game plan of trying to weaken YSRC,” he said.

He asked Naidu why he did not give notice for no-confidence motion immediately after the resignation of TDP Ministers from the central cabinet and reiterated that the YSRC MPs would resign on Apirl 6 as announced in the past.
