Dry weather prevailed in Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Monday, with the recording of 37 degrees Celsius as the highest day temperature in Nandigama, Tuni, Anantapur and Kurnool, the Met department bulletin said.

Hyderabad: Dry weather prevailed in Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Monday, with the recording of 37 degrees Celsius as the highest day temperature in Nandigama, Tuni, Anantapur and Kurnool, the Met department bulletin said.

There was an appreciable rise in day temperatures ranging from 2.1 to 4 degrees Celsius at many places in Rayalaseema. They were below normal at many places in the coastal districts and at isolated places in Rayalaseema.

According to the bulletin, the other day temperatures recorded in the State were: Jangamaheswarapuram, Visakhapatnam Airport, Kadapa, Nandyal, Kakinada & Tirupati 36 each, Vijayawada 35, Machilipatnam, Nellore & Ongole 34 each, Bapatla, Kavali, Narsapur, Visakhapatnam &Arogyavaram33 each,Kalingapatnam 32.

The lowest minimum temperature of 19 degrees was recorded in Arogyavaram, as the night temperatures rose appreciably in coastal Andhra Pradesh. The other temperatures in the State were: Bapatla&Jangamaheswarapuram 20 each, Kalingapatnam, Nandigama& Vijayawada 21 each, Machilipatnam, Anantapur, Nandyal & Tirupati 22 each, Kakinada, Kavali, Narsapur, Tuni, Visakhapatnam Airport & Kadapa 23 each, Nellore& Ongole 24 each, Visakhapatnam& Kurnool25 each. According to the forecast, there will be light to moderate rain/thundershowers on March 23 and 24 in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
