Kadapa: Defending the TDP’s decision to moving separate no-confidence motion in Parliament against the BJP-led NDA government, marketing minister C Adinarayana Reddy said YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has his own interests in moving the no-confidence motion other than interests of the state. “That is why TDP changed its initial stand of supporting YSRCP’s no-trust motion and decided to move its own,” he said.

Speaking to media persons here on Monday, the minister found fault with the YSRCP MPs and Jaganmohan Reddy’s political advisor Prasanth Kishore hobnobbing with top leadership of BJP. “If they are really sincere in moving a no-confidence motion against the BJP-led government, what is the need for them to making efforts to meet Prime Minister and BJP national president?” he said.

Citing TDP’s victory in recent Nandyal by-elections, he said people of the state had confidence in Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s rule as the state had witnessed development in the last four years despite facing serious financial hurdles.

He said that BJP betrayed the people of Andhra Pradesh people by reneging its assurances made during 2014 electioneering. However, the minister admitted that it will be difficult a task for the state government to complete the irrigation projects like Polavaram unless the Central government released funds. He said that Chief Minister was keen on setting up High Court bench in Rayalasseema districts.

Adinarayana Reddy said TDP would continue its political battle against BJP till it grants Special Category Status to the state. Describing actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena Party (JSP) Pawan Kalyan as ‘part-time politician’, he said people were closely watching his double standards and were waiting to give a fitting replay in the next elections.
