Chittoor police arrested a Tamil Nadu based serial killer Munaswamy who allegedly brutally murdered thirty-year-old woman and a two-year-old girl in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Chittoor: Chittoor police arrested a Tamil Nadu based serial killer Munaswamy who allegedly brutally murdered thirty-year-old woman and a two-year-old girl in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. District SP S V Rajesekhar Babu, who produced the accused before media on Tuesday, said the suspect was nabbed on Monday with the help of Central Crime and Tracking Net Work, based on database of fingerprints of habitual offenders.
The SP said Munaswamy, 42, a native of Wallaja, Vellore district of Tamil Nadu used to kill innocent people randomly a sharp edged stone. At least 28 cases regarding various offences have been registered against him in TN and AP for the last 20 years. “ Munaswamy murdered thirty-year-old woman and a two-year-old kid in TN and Andhra Pradesh . He also served jail sentence for several years in Tamil Nadu in the last 10 years,” he said.
According to the SP Munaswamy Ratnamma, 62, a resident of Nagari on the night of February 25, 2018 while she was sleeping and S Vallemma, 70, in Palasamudram mandal on March 9, 2018. The accused used smash the head of his victim with a sharp stone and leave the stone near the bodies. Interestingly, he would not steal any valuables from his victims.
Police intensified their efforts to nab the accused by using Central Crime and Tracking Net Work in which the thumb impressions of the suspects and habitual offenders are tallied. Police arrested Munaswamy at Kothapallimitta bus station on Monday, the SP added. Rajasekhar Babu congratulated the team led by Chittoor DSP Subba Rao for successfully nabbing the psycho killer, who created sensation in TN and AP.
