KEK, Pulla Rao may get additional portfolios

Amaravati: The portfolios of BJP leaders, P Manikyala Rao and Kamineni Srinivasa Rao, who resigned from Cabinet over political differences between the TDP and BJP, are likely to be given to Ministers KE Krishna Murthy and P Pulla Rao.

Endowments and Health and Medical Education are likely to be given to Krishna Murthy and P Pulla Rao respectively as additional charge. At present, Krishna Murthy holding Deputy Chief Minister, Renenue, Stamps and Registration and Pulla Rao is holding Price Monitoring, Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies ministries.

After resignations of BJP leaders, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu did not allocate these two portfolios to anybody or did not induct new members into the cabinet till now. A majority of MLAs and MLCs, who did not get berth in the cabinet, were hoping that Chandrababu Naidu may induct new leaders into the cabinet.

Though it was predicted that the Health and Medical Education would be given to Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, the later developments revealed that the portfolio is likely to be given to Pulla Rao. On the other hand, highly-placed sources informed the Endowment ministry will be given to Krishna Murthy.
