Vijayawada: The nominations from Andhra Pradesh were very few for the national-level students and staff awards in 24 categories
instituted by the Computer Society of India (CSI,) said Prof Kurra Rajashekar Rao, chairman-elect of the Computer Society of India.

After taking charge as the Chairman of Computer Society of India, Vijayawada Chapter, he hoped that this should improve this year.

He assured the students to develop the CSI chapter to enable it to organise student-oriented intensive sessions in Computer
Sciences.

CSI Vijayawada chapter elected the new panel at a meeting organised at PB Siddhartha College Arts and Science College for the
year 2018-19. They elected Prof Kurra Rajashekar Rao of Usha Rama Engineering College, as the Chairman, Prof Rajesh CJ as
Vice-Chairman, V Venkata Ramana as Organising Officer and M Babu Reddy of Krishna University as the Treasurer.

The meeting also elected the Organising Committee members. The election was conducted by V Chandra Shekar, founder secretary
of the Computer Society of India, Vijayawada Chapter.
