Kurnool: District Olympic Organisation leader C Ramanjaneyulu has said that Snooker game has been branded as Royal game as the people of high profile used to play the game. Now the game is being practiced by all. He said these words during the inaugural programme of Snooker Prize Money competitions at “Cue Line” Snooker Academy here on Friday.
He said that earlier people of high profile used to play the game. The Olympic committee has included snooker in the Olympic Games and everyone is showing interest to play the game. Snooker is now being played by various sections of people.
The snooker game organizer, Mani Ranga said, ``We are organising state level snooker game competitions. So far, we have received 90 entries from across the state.
The winners would be awarded with a cash prize of Rs.20,000 besides a trophy. TG Bharat would participate as a chief guest on the concluding ceremony and distribute prizes to the winners and runners, said Mani Ranga.
Majid Khan, Sameer Ali, Avinash, Stalin and others participated on the occasion.
