Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday called upon the people to wage Dharma Poratam against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for justice. Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi cheated the state, Chandrababu Naidu said that he was personally being targeted for asking the Prime Minister to do justice for Andhra Pradesh.

Laying the foundation stone for Ashok Leyland bus body building unit at Mallavalli village, the Chief Minister warned the BJP that it would face similar fate what Congress faced earlier, if it does injustice to the State. He also inaugurated the statue of TDP founder NTR at Mallavalli village in Krishna district.

Reiterating his attack against the Centre, he requested the people to come forward for agitating for the full and proper implementation of AP Reorganisation Act. The State was fighting only for its share. He described the short form of Andhra Pradesh (AP) as A means Amaravati and P means Polavaram. The government should complete the two important projects at any cost, he asserted.

After laying the foundation stone for the bus body building unit, he said the 1,160 acres was allotted to Ashok Leyland. He said 802 automobile ancillary units are coming up in the region. Andhra Pradesh would be developed as an automobile hub, he said.

Congratulating Ashok Leyland managing director Vinod K Dasari for coming forward to set up the unit here, the CM said first bus should roll out from the unit within six months.

The Chief Minister said the bus unit to be set up in Mallavalli would be fourth mega automobile unit in the country. He said with the attractive policies introduced by the state government, Kia Motors, Suzuki, Hero Motocorp, Apollo Tyres and Bharat Benz set up their units in the state. He said the automobile unit, mega food park, plastic park and logistic parks are coming up in the region. Mallavalli will have more access to airport, Bandar port and proposed outer ring road.

The Chief Minister recalled that he visited several countries to attract investments. As a result, the state government entered into 2,536 MoUs attracting an investment of Rs 18 lakh crore providing employment opportunity to 10 lakh youth.

Ashok Leyland managing director said electrical vehicles will also be produced from the plant. The plant would be set up with a capacity of producing 4,800 buses annually, he said.
